Online Axom is not just an organization, but an initiative  taken by highly qualified and experienced personnel in Microsoft Applications. It's an initiative to support the need for online education in Assam with the help of Microsoft next generation applications like Microsoft Teams, Microsoft PowerApps, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power BI etc. 

The co-founder of Online Axom Mr. Alakesh Sharma has years of experience in developing applications for large companies in United States, United Kingdom, Australia & in Middle East using the Microsoft Applications. He had identified the need for a good application to support the online education system in Assam specially after the outbreak of Covid-19, and has formed the Online Axom Company with a few young dynamic leaders of Assam who share the same dream to serve the society, to serve the students of Assam and to promote the online education facility in Assam.

We use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and other Microsoft applications in our day to day life. These applications make our life easy. They are user friendly, reliable and economical as are developed and managed by Microsoft. The same trust and reliability goes to new applications like Microsoft Teams, Microsoft PowerApps and other Microsoft next generation applications. 

The Microsoft Teams, PowerApps etc are nowadays broadly used applications in United States and in other advanced countries. Small, medium, large all levels of business and people are using these new Microsoft applications. But the lack of awareness in India has limited the usage and their scope. Most of these applications are free from Microsoft for students and for educational institutions.

Unlike traditional video conferencing tools where people are aligned in a grid format, Microsoft teams together mode delivers a truly shared environment where up to 49 people in avatar mode can share a virtual space such as classroom, meeting room, auditorium or a coffee bar. Students can raise their hand when have any question to ask and the lecturer or teacher can answer them one by one. The online class sessions can be recorded for future study.

The Microsoft PowerApps application goes inside the video conference tool where live class room assignments are possible in real time. This gives a real classroom feel. The PowerApps application also allows to assign homework, monitor attendance and other administrative works. The scope is vast, and the application can be customized based on individual requirements. Together Microsoft Teams & Microsoft PowerApps make a great pair for online education system at a very low cost.
